Wall’s Paddle Pop & Legoland Malaysia Resort Children’s Day Carnival 2013

What does Paddle Pop and Legoland have in common? These two renowned children brands joined hands to treat approximately 150 underprivileged children from 6 different orphanages in Klang Valley to a fun and exciting children’s carnival held at Taman Rimba Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.

We went there in the morning. Headed straight to the registration counter and saw my name as blogger/media. Ehemsss….first time had the opportunity to be a media. Gitu. Finally Legoland heard my prayer…hoho..

The highlight for the day was the unveiling of the huge LEGO model of the Paddle Pop made entirely out of LEGO bricks. The underprivileged kids were ecstatic to be the first in the country to get the opportunity to be up close with the Paddle Pop which stands at 5 feet 2 inches and weighs 77 kilograms. The total number of LEGO bricks used to build Paddle Pop was an amazing 53,928 bricks.

Courtesy of Paddle Pop, The LEGO model of Paddle Pop will also be making its way throughout Peninsula Malaysia in a 5-week road show from 20 November to 29 December this year. The model will be visiting various orphanages as well as public parks and playgrounds. Amongst public parks where kids and parents can be up close with the LEGO model of Paddle Pop include Zoo Negara, KidZania, Melaka’s Bird Park and many more. As a nice surprise for kids during this school holiday season, the LEGO model of Paddle Pop will be making surprise visits at playgrounds in neighbourhoods and apartment blocks. Throughout Peninsula Malaysia, Paddle Pop will visit 30 orphanages and 100 public parks and playgrounds. The launch was officiated by the release of balloons. I managed to snap them before they disappear out of sight.

Brain Expo Malaysia 2013

When I received an SMS from MeadJohson about this Brain Expo, I immediately booked my husband’s diary and told my kids to get ready for some educational trip to KLCC. Of course I didn’t hesitate when it comes to educational and fun stuffs and events. Amir was like “How come there’s a Brain Expo in a shopping complex?” (Because we normally go KLCC for shopping and window shopping so he was curious).

So we arrived at about 11 am and there was already a large crowd there. We received our goody bags (coz I pre-registered) at the entrance and went into the first area; Zone A: Genius Room. It’s a room dedicated to geniuses such as Beethoven, Einstein, Sir Isaac Newton and our local genius, P.Ramlee.

Next was Zone B: Brain Facts Walkway. It’s where they showcased a real human brain. Both my kids were like, euwww brain is not cute. I was like errr errr..terimalah kejadian Allah…hehehe..

And then we went into Zone C: Video Room. We watched a 2 minute video about brain, and neurons, synapses and stuff.

Next we walked into Zone D: Synapses Walkway. It’s where they showed how our synapses are connected and how they work. Kids were excited to see lights in the dark room.

Next, we walked into a ‘brain’…hehehe….it was where we learnt a lot about our brain; that there are 4 parts and they are; Frontal Lobe (controls motor skills, expressive language and reasoning), Parietal Lobe (processes sensory information such as touch, pain and pressure), Temperal Lobe (controls the interpretation of sounds and language), and Occipital Lobe (controls interpretation of visuals and information).

And then there was Zone F; 4 Traits of a Genius. The 4 traits are; Better problem solving, Sharper visual acuity, Faster language skills and Higher intellectual development.

The last zone was Zone G; EnfaMama A+ Club Station, Consultation Area and Playground. My kids enjoyed playing in the pool of colourful balls. I saw a Chinese girl yelling coz she didn’t want to go back. Alhamdulillah my kids were under control.

Thank you MeadJohnson for this experience! We had fun! Hope to be more involved in educational expo or events in the future.

Amar’s Despicable Me 3rd Birthday Party

Kesian tengok my blog yang berhabuk nih. Malas gile nak update sekarang kan dah ada Instagram gitu….update sana je senang….tambah2 phone tu kat tangan je kan…Banyak benda yang nak diceritakan actually tapi perasaan malas yang maha hebat telah menimpa diriku ini….It’s been 4 months since I become a SAHM.

Makan kek and celebrate sendiri je. Since Amir had the opportunity to have his first birthday party on his 3rd one, Amar also had his when he turned 3. Fair la kan….

Let’s see his invitation card.

I chose this theme because Amar is sooooo crazy about Despicable Me. He watched the show from ipad for sooo many times. Bila tengok minion kat kedai je dah excited. Suka sangat ngan Agnes especially…siap boleh tiru ayat-ayat dalam movie tu.

Lagipun it’s a trend. I went to a minion birthday party too weeks before, and ramai yang buat tema ni….so, layankan ajelah budak2 kan…

Anyway, everything was done by sweetalmiraz, from party packs to the candy buffet and photo booth as well….keluar duit jelah jawabnya kan…
