What does Paddle Pop and Legoland have in common? These two renowned children brands joined hands to treat approximately 150 underprivileged children from 6 different orphanages in Klang Valley to a fun and exciting children’s carnival held at Taman Rimba Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.
We went there in the morning. Headed straight to the registration counter and saw my name as blogger/media. Ehemsss….first time had the opportunity to be a media. Gitu. Finally Legoland heard my prayer…hoho..
Just sat and we were greeted by a clown
Waiting for the right time to join the picture crowd…hehehe
The highlight for the day was the unveiling of the huge LEGO model of the Paddle Pop made entirely out of LEGO bricks. The underprivileged kids were ecstatic to be the first in the country to get the opportunity to be up close with the Paddle Pop which stands at 5 feet 2 inches and weighs 77 kilograms. The total number of LEGO bricks used to build Paddle Pop was an amazing 53,928 bricks.

Courtesy of Paddle Pop, The LEGO model of Paddle Pop will also be making its way throughout Peninsula Malaysia in a 5-week road show from 20 November to 29 December this year. The model will be visiting various orphanages as well as public parks and playgrounds. Amongst public parks where kids and parents can be up close with the LEGO model of Paddle Pop include Zoo Negara, KidZania, Melaka’s Bird Park and many more. As a nice surprise for kids during this school holiday season, the LEGO model of Paddle Pop will be making surprise visits at playgrounds in neighbourhoods and apartment blocks. Throughout Peninsula Malaysia, Paddle Pop will visit 30 orphanages and 100 public parks and playgrounds. The launch was officiated by the release of balloons. I managed to snap them before they disappear out of sight.
The orphanages that were invited to the Paddle Pop and LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort World Children’s Day carnival were Yayasan Sunbeams, Good Samaritan Home, Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheera, Shelter Home for Children, Pusat Jagaan Siddharthan and Rumah Juara.
We also had the chance to snap a picture with the mascot before he went out of sight!

Weather was scorching hot so after we took pictures, terus nak balik. The sports carnival just started for the kids.We were so happy that we did not leave empty handed, the organiser gave us a momento; plasma car and Legoland towel.
Thank you again Paddle Pop and Legoland for inviting us! Until next event….
